Genna McKeel is an executive coach and facilitator with over 20 years of experience in global roles across policy, partnerships, marketing, and operations. Genna has navigated everything from large, complex institutions like the U.S. Department of State to the ever-evolving world of Silicon Valley. After working on foreign policy issues, she spent over a decade at Google helping founders scale. She knows firsthand the excitement and dread of transitioning from public to private sectors, the grit it takes to start and scale a company, and the skills needed to be a stand out in tech.
At Google for Startups, Genna led global teams applying design thinking and user-first principles to build programs that supported founders. She helped launch acceleration programs across six continents, open startup spaces in seven countries, and create partnerships in more than 40 cities. These programs supported over 1,500 entrepreneurs, helping them raise $1.4B+ in funding and create more than 20,000 jobs.
Building teams and coaching founders and executives has been Genna's true joy - and it's that passion that led her to coaching and consulting full time.
Today, Genna works with founders, executives, and global teams through coaching, leadership workshops, and strategy sprints, helping clients think more creatively, lead more intentionally, and drive real-world outcomes.
Certified through UC Berkeley’s Executive Coaching Institute, Genna works with clients across startups, the tech sector, and large institutions. Her approach combines strategic insight, conscious leadership, and actionable tools to help leaders grow—without sacrificing personal sustainability.
Outside of work, she is a wife and mom of two, and whether it’s on a hike or over a glass of wine, Genna is always game for great conversations and good laughs.
